DIY Watermelon Cups

Welcome back!

I thought of this DIY for you guys last summer but with everything going on with the pregnancy I never got a chance to post it. Better late than never, right? In this post, I'm going to show you how to make these adorable watermelon jello cups to kickstart summer!

Materials:
Green Jello
Watermelon flavored jello (cherry is too dark but feel free to use it if you'd like)
2 packages unflavored gelatin
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Bowls
Measuring cups
Sharpie
Paper towel
Container or cup for the jello

Instructions:
1) Mix the green jello according to the package instructions and let it cool to room temperature.

2) Mix the watermelon jello according to the package instructions and let it cool to room temperature (here I have cherry - I thought it was too dark so I decided to use the watermelon flavor)

3) For the white layer, add the can of sweetened condensed milk to a bowl and add 1 cup of hot water to dissolve the milk. Mix until it's combined.

4) In a separate, large bowl, mix the unflavored gelatin with 1/2 cup of cold water. Let it stand for a few minutes until firm. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water to dissolve the gelatin.

5) Mix the milk mixture with the gelatin and stir to combine. Let it cool to room temperature.

6) In a cup, add the green layer, put it in the refrigerator to firm

7) Next, add the white layer on top of the green layer. Place the cup back in the fridge to firm

8) Finally, add the watermelon jello layer and place the cup back in the fridge to firm.

9) When the final watermelon layer is firm, wipe the top of the cup with a paper towel and draw seeds in a teardrop shape with a sharpie. Draw as many as you would like here. You're all done!

Enjoy the delicious taste of summer!
